The ECODESIGN company supported Speech Processing Solutions in the ecodesign project for the development of their Philips voice recorder (Pocket Memo 9600/9620), achieving a 80% reductions of the _CO2 emissions compared to previous models. Philips relies on clear environment communication for their dictation products using EPDs developed by the ECODESIGN company.

Philips- Speech Processing Solutions has over 50 years of experience in the technology and devices for voice recording and dictation. The company R&D and production departments are located in the High-Tech Campus Vienna. This resulted in a reduction of the _CO2 emissions by up to 80%, which was presented in the corresponding Environmental Product Declaration for the Philips DPM 9600 and DPM 9620.

Building on this success, Philips has been clearly communicating the environmental benefits of several product series for several years by means of environmental product declarations. The ECODESIGN company is supporting Speech Processing Solutions with the LCA according to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044, and in creating the Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
LCA and EPDs were completed for the Philips Digital Pocket Memo series 6000, 7000 and 8000, as well as for the SpeechMike 2, SpeechMike 3, SpeechMike Air, and SpeechMike Premium.
