moreFinishing off 2021, the ECODESIGN company assessed by means of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), the environmental performance of a wheel detection system of the Austrian company Frauscher Sensortechnik GmbH. This wheel detection system consists of the Wheel Sensor RSR123, which is mounted at the railway tracks and provides relevant detection signals to the Frauscher Advanced Counter FAdC, which processes and then transmits the signals to control systems. This complete wheel detection system safely monitors track sections and enables the secure operations of railways worldwide.
