Professor at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria, and expert in ECODESIGN sustainable product development
Wolfgang Wimmer, Ao. Univ. Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn., achieved his Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 and in 1999 his PhD in Engineering Design and Systems Engineering, Since 2002 he holds a professorship at the Vienna University of Technology in Engineering Design and ECODESIGN.
Wolfgang Wimmer started already in 1996 with the Austrian ECODESIGN platform and in 2001 he developed the ECODESIGN PILOT – Product Investigation, Learning and Optimization Tool for companies to environmentally improve their products. Since then he lead many projects with industry and published three books on Ecodesign.
In 2005 Wolgang Wimmer founded the ECODESIGN company GmbH together with Kuno Mo Lee and John Polak.
