IEA-4E Mapping and Benchmarking and Standby Power Annexes

Since 2009 the ECODESIGN company is supporting the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Technology and Innovation (BMVIT) in the work as member in the IEA-4E “Efficiency Electrical End-use Equipment” Implementing Agreement. Under this international program countries investigate technical and policy issues for increasing the efficiency of electrical equipment, particularly household products , through the annexes “Mapping and Benchmarking” and “Standby Power”. Countries develop joint work and share results on priority products and policy measures in their respective markets, and derive recommendations for policy makers. Four Austrian product categories have been analyzed, including televisions, domestic Lights, washing machines and laundry dryers.
