EPDS

The pulp and paper industry in North America was struggling to meet the information needs of European clients in a way that was both credible and relevant. Based on a Life Cycle Assessment of pulp and paper products, a market analysis and multi-stakeholder engagement, the Environmental Profile Data Sheet (EPDS) was developed. This marketing tool was one of the first environmental product declarations in the world and was often referred to by the Canadian delegation during the development of the ISO 14025 standard for Type III Environmental Labels.
